Girl tells of bomb exploding at her feet
A girl has been describing how a blast bomb exploded at her feet, during sectarian violence.
11-year-old Nadine Quigley suffered shock, and her eight-year-old friend sustained shrapnel injuries.
The bomb exploded outside Nadine's house in North Belfast, shattering the back window of a parked van.
The girl has described regular attacks from the loyalist side, saying she had also been blasted off a chair.
"I'm not safe anywhere, "she said.
"I'm not safe in my house when they are throwing blast bombs over, and I'm not safe in the street."
But Nadine insists she and her family will not be scared off.
"They're not going to get us out. They are trying their hardest but we're determined to stay."
"I don't want to let them put me out of my house," she said.
