The Irish Haemophiliac Society has announced that it will launch an intensive campaign for an investigation into US pharmaceutical companies which imported contaminated blood products into Ireland.

The Irish Haemophiliac Society has announced that it will launch an intensive campaign for an investigation into US pharmaceutical companies which imported contaminated blood products into Ireland.

Yesterday, the chairperson of the Lindsay Tribunal refused to expand the inquiry’s terms of reference to include such an investigation.

However, Health Minister Micheal Martin has suggested that a separate inquiry may be established to deal with the US companies in question.
