Garda Commissioner confirms anthrax arrests

Garda Commissioner Pat Byrne has confirmed that a number of files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions following the spate of anthrax scares in recent days.

In a statement released this afternoon, Mr Byrne said one person has been arrested in connection with the alerts, while a further four were interviewed by Gardai.
