Anthrax scares in Westmeath and Wicklow

Gardai and emergency services have sealed off a street in Mullingar following another anthrax scare.

A traffic warden raised the alarm after white powder was spotted on a parking-disc vending machine on Austin Friar Street.

The area surrounding the VTOS Outreach Centre in Arklow, Co Wicklow was also sealed off this afternoon after a suspicious envelope was posted to the centre.
