Labour Party leader Ruairi Quinn has said that the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, will use the National Forum on Europe as a “fig leaf” to hide behind at the summit of EU leaders tomorrow.

The forum, which was established following Ireland’s rejection of the Nice Treaty, began consultations at Dublin Castle today.
