Poll: 83% want arms handover now

A total of 83% of people in Ireland want the IRA to begin decommissioning its weapons immediately, an opinion poll showed today.

Just one in 10 of the 1,004 people surveyed were in favour of the IRA keeping its weapons, the ICM poll carried out for Ireland on Sunday said.
