No effort to save Aer Lingus jobs say workers

Aer Lingus workers feel there has been little effort to save the airline and their jobs.

The workers believe the Government and management are streamlining the company to make it an attractive business proposition for future investors or buyers.

Three shop stewards, claiming to represent the broad opinion among the workers say the current effort to save the airline is merely a smokescreen.

The workers are asking the public for their support and to demand that the Government come up with an alternative to the proposed 40% job cuts.
