SDLP team hold peace talks with Ahern

SDLP leader John Hume and his successor-to-be Mark Durkan today appeared in public for the first time since Mr Durkan’s unopposed election to hold Northern Ireland peace process crisis talks with Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

The pair had "in-depth" discussions with the Mr Ahern and Foreign Minister Brian Cowen in Dublin.
