Trimble to bring legal challenge to House of Lords
Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble is to appeal to the House of Lords in Britain after the Belfast High Court today upheld a ruling that said he acted illegally in banning Sinn Fein from attending cross-border meetings.
Mr Trimble had refused to nominate Education Minister Martin McGuinness and Health Minister Bairbre de Brun to meetings of the North-South Ministerial Council because of the IRA’s failure to disarm.
