Cox tipped to become new president of European Parliament

Irish MEP Pat Cox is tipped to become the next president of the European Parliament.

The independent politician has the full support of the current president, Nicole Fontaine.

Speaking in Strasbourg today, Mr Cox said he is confident of success.
