Cowen to address UN Security Council

The Minister for Foreign Affairs Brian Cowen is to address the UN Security Council today after Ireland assumed presidency of the council yesterday.

Mr Cowen said Ireland will use its new role to scrutinise any military reaction to the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US.
