Man stabbed to death in Limerick

Gardai have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death in Limerick yesterday evening.

The man in his forties was stabbed during an incident on Denmark Street.

A short time later, gardai arrested a man in connection with the incident.

He is currently helping them with their inquiries at the city's Henry Street garda station.

Garda technical experts are examining the scene this morning.

A post mortem will be carried out later today.
