Man critical after stabbing

A man is in a critical condition in hospital following an early morning stabbing incident in Cork city.

The man, in his twenties, received neck injuries in the attack, which happened off Washington Street.

He was taken to hospital where his condition was described as not life-threatening.

Gardai at Angelsea Street are investigating the incident.
