RUC to discuss increase in violence

Security chiefs are this afternoon holding talks about the continuing violence in north Belfast.

The RUC say that a two-year-old child and her grandmother narrowly escaped injury when republican gunmen opened fire across the peace line in the loyalist area of Tiger’s Bay in north Belfast.
