Sources in the Ulster Unionist Party have revealed that David Trimble is considering collapsing the Northern Assembly if the IRA fails to disarm before midnight on Saturday.

A growing number of Ulster Unionist MLAs believe Trimble should withdraw all his ministers from the Assembly if the British Government decides on another 24-hour suspension to buy time for further negotiations.
