Aer Lingus to shed 1,700 jobs

Some 1,700 jobs are expected to be lost at Aer Lingus as the national airline prepares for its most serious crisis yet.

Aer Lingus staff and unions across the country are being briefed on the crisis which will see hundreds of jobs lost across the national flag carrier.
