President McAleese makes special address

President Mary McAleese has made a special address to the Irish population as the country mourns the thousands of people who died in Tuesday’s attacks on the United States.

Mrs McAleese said that today’s national day of mourning is a chance for Ireland to show its solidarity with the US.
