Ahern defends Government’s stance on refugees

The Taoiseach has defended the Government’s record on refugees and asylum seekers.

The Conference of Religious in Ireland has attacked what it calls the Government’s lack of leadership on the issue and has called for asylum seekers to be given the right to work.
