The Government has warned that the National Ploughing Championships could be cancelled if the latest outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in England spreads to the island of Ireland.

Agriculture Minister Joe Walsh said he is confident Ireland can avoid the problem, but he has asked farmers from Britain to refrain from travelling to events in Ireland.
