News blackout imposed on Garda rape claim

A Spanish magistrate has placed a news blackout as he investigates allegations of rape and assault against a 26-year-old Garda.

The Garda was arrested after an Irish woman in Tenerife made the allegations. Garda headquarters in the Phoenix Park says it has been informed by the Spanish authorities that a member of the force has been arrested.
