Two people arrested following Sligo bomb alert

Two people from Co Derry have been arrested following a bomb alert in Sligo.

A man and a woman were arrested last night in Sligo after a security alert, which saw people in the town moved from about 30 homes following a warning that a car bomb had been left in the area.

The two are being held under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
