Missing Irishman contacts mother after 10 years
The mother of the fourth Irishman who was arrested in Colombia last week has spoken to her 37-year-old son for the first time in more than 10 years.
Kevin Crennan contacted his mother in Abbeyleix, Co Laois, after being deported from Colombia to Venezuela.
He was arrested in Colombia on suspicion of being a member of the Provisional IRA, but he was released once it became clear that he was simply a tourist.
Following his arrest, it emerged that he was listed on an Irish missing persons website after disappearing in Spain in January 1994.
