Fine Gael has urged the Government to intervene in the row over proposed increases in landing charges at Ireland’s three main airports.

Party spokesman Jim Higgins said the aviation regulator’s decision to increase charges at Dublin, Cork and Shannon was unnecessary and ill-timed.
