Former Taoiseach Charles Haughey and his family have reportedly sold their 270-acre estate in north Dublin for £30m.

Former Taoiseach Charles Haughey and his family have reportedly sold their 270-acre estate in north Dublin for £30m.

According to a Sunday newspaper, the Haugheys and a property developer have already exchanged contracts on the Abbeyville estate in Kinsealy and the deal could be closed by early next year.

However, the newspaper says Mr Haughey, whose health is failing, will retain the right to live in Abbeyville for the rest of his life.
