Man drowns in Carlingford Lough

A 25-year-old man has died after getting into difficulties in Carlingford Lough in Co Down this morning.

The man, who was from the area, was rescued from the water off Warrenpoint Pier at around 2.30am, but he died later in hospital.

His name will not be released until all next of kin are informed.
