RTE forced into U-turn on GAA commentary

State broadcaster RTE has been forced into an embarrassing U-turn this lunchtime.

The GAA had stated that the television commentary of last Sunday’s minor hurling semi-final between Galway and Tipperary in English rather than Irish was a decision taken by RTE without agreement with the Association.
