Toddler dies in Co Wexford road accident

A three-year-old boy has become the latest victim of the carnage on Ireland's roads.

The toddler was standing with a family member in Castlewhite, Gorey, Co Wexford yesterday afternoon, when he was struck by an oncoming car.

A local doctor pronounced him dead at the scene.

The driver of the car was treated for shock.
