Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble met with Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams today to discuss the spiralling problem of street violence in Belfast during the past few weeks.

The two men met to discuss ways to calm tensions while they consider the make-or-break peace document put forward by the Irish and British Governments yesterday.
