IRA decommissioning statement expected by weekend

A crucial statement on the decommissioning of weapons is expected to be issued by the IRA this weekend.

It is reported today that the IRA is likely to make the statement in response to the proposed package of measures drawn up by the two Governments to save the Good Friday Agreement.
