Aer Corps rescues woman on Croagh Patrick

An Aer Corps helicopter has rescued a British woman from the slopes of Croagh Patrick after she injured her leg trying to climb the mountain.

The 28-year-old woman was climbing Croagh Partrick with a group of friends, who used a mobile phone to raise the alarm.

The woman was brought to Mayo General Hospital, where her condition is described as comfortable.
