It has been confirmed that the baby found in a black plastic bag in Limerick yesterday evening was a full-term baby girl.

The Assistant State Pathologist, Marie Cassidy, has been carrying out a post mortem on the infant at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick.
