Teen death: Father tried to revive shot son

The father of an 18-year-old drive-by shooting victim tried to revive his dying son after the attack.

He was first on the scene after the shooting outside St Enda's GAA club on the Hightown Road in Glengormley, Co Antrim.

The Protestant teenager was killed when shots were fired from a car at a group of youths who were talking outside the club.

A Catholic youth was also injured in the ankle in the shooting.

RUC Chief Constable Ronnie Flanagan said that it was too soon to speculate on who was responsible for the shooting but he admitted he had strong suspicions that the attack was carried out by loyalists.
