Man critical after sea rescue
An air and sea search is still on-going for a teenage boy off Belmullet in Co Mayo after their boat sank while transporting sheep to an island.
The teenager's father was rescued from the water and airlifted to Mayo General Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
The alarm was raised by a local fisherman when he spotted sheep and an oil spill in the water.
An Air Corps helicopter took the father, in his fifties, from the water and he is being treated in intensive care.
Ballyglass lifeboat and the Naval Fishery Protection vessel, Le Ciara, have joined in a massive search for the missing youngster.
