Farmers advised to remain vigilant

One hundred and forty farmers are today expected to receive letters from the Department of Agriculture warning of the need for continued vigilance against foot-and-mouth disease.

The department has advised farmers to ensure their lands are secure against the disease and to be careful of visitors entering their farms.
