State seeks longer sentences for McCabe killers

The Court of Criminal Appeal will this morning be asked to lengthen the sentences handed down to two of the killers of Detective Garda Jerry McCabe.

The DPP will argue that the 14-year sentence handed down to Limerick man Kevin Walsh, and Pierce McAuley of Co Tyrone is too lenient.
