Review of Gateway operation in Ireland

The Irish IT sector has been hit by further bad news today as the computer manufacturer, Gateway, is to place its Dublin based operation under review.

The US firm currently employs around 900 people in its European headquarters in Dublin but the down shift in the world wide industry looks set to threaten some of the jobs at the plant.
