IRTC grant 3 new radio licences

Three new community radio licences have been approved by the Independent Radio and Television Commission.

The community stations will be based at Cashel in Co Tipperary and Knock in Co Mayo.

Waterford Institute of Technology has also been granted a licence to provide a community service for the student population in the city.
