Brennan cannot explain how Burke's house was paid for

The Flood Tribunal has been told yet again that the building contractor, Tom Brennan is unable to explain how the former Government minister, Ray Burke paid for his former home.

Mr Burke’s former house at Briar Gate in Swords, Co Dublin was built on land that was purchased by Mr Brennan and his associate, Joe McGowan.

Counsellors for the Tribunal have spent most of the morning questioning Mr Brennan about purchases of land in north Co Dublin.

However, Mr Brennan says that he has made extensive investigations into the matter and he still does not know how the land arrived into Mr Burke’s possession.
