Fisheries industry may be reshaped

The Irish Seafood Industry is being subjected to major changes as the Irish Fisheries Board attempts to increase sales by more than 50% in the coming year.

The drive involves a new strategy to pinpoint the changing needs of the marketplace in the next five years.

Minister for the Marine, Frank Fahy has warned that the entire seafood industry will need to be restructured to bring about these targets.
