Two women injured after Dublin car-jacking

Two women, one of them pregnant, have been injured after a car-jacking in Dublin.

At around 2.30pm this afternoon, a lone male stole their car from West Park industrial estate in Tallaght.

He headed towards Tallaght and then continued along the wrong side of the dual carriageway towards City West Business Park. He was eventually detained in Clondalkin.

The man is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Clondalkin Garda station.

It is not clear if the two women were in the car when it was taken.

Their injuries are not thought to be too serious.
