Farmers welcome deal on intervention

The Irish Farmers Association has given a cautious welcome to a deal reached by EU agriculture ministers, but has said larger farmers will suffer most.

The agreement was made in the early hours of the morning, with intervention limits revised upwards by about 100,000 tonnes.
