Cork next stop for abortion ship

The Dutch abortion ship, the "Aurora" is planning to sail to Cork later this week.

The Women on Waves group, which had intended to carry out abortions just outside Irish waters, was unable to do so as it lacked Dutch certification.

However, termination advice and free contraception was offered to women since the vessel’s arrival in Dublin last Thursday.

More than 300 women are believed to have received advice. The group now intends to set sail for Cork this Thursday, and will leave Ireland on Monday next.
