Murder hunt after man ‘savagely assaulted’
Police today launched a murder investigation after the body of a 26-year-old man was found in Belfast.
The victim was found at his home in the Forthriver area in the north of the city shortly after 7pm last night.
A RUC spokesman said he had been subjected to a savage assault and that all motives were being investigated.
The man had last been seen alive at about 10pm on Tuesday.
Detectives are appealing for information.
