Irish aid budget to rise to £100m

Ireland’s aid budget is to increase by over 55% next year, to over £100m.

The Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Liz O'Donnell, says the massive increase will leave Ireland in a position to commit significant additional resources to the battle against HIV and AIDs in Africa.
