Foley appeal bid continues
Aer Lingus Chief Executive Michael Foley will continue his fight in the High Court this morning for the right of an appeal arising out of sexual harassment findings made against him.
Ms Justice Mella Carroll was told yesterday that Mr Foley has been denied the right of appeal even though company rules state that he is entitled to one.
Mr Foley was told not to show for work last week after an Aer Lingus inquiry upheld two complaints made against him for sexual harassment.
Yesterday, the court heard that employee Anne Lawlor only decided to pursue her complaint against Mr Foley after she had a conversation with company chairman Bernie Cahill.
