De Chastelain confirms meetings with IRA

A spokesman for General John de Chastelain has confirmed IRA claims that it has had four meetings with the international decommissioning body since March.

In a statement released this morning, the republicans insisted they were genuinely committed to resolving the arms issue, but accused the British Government of failing to honour its side of the bargain.
