Shooting victim was cornered

A man has been shot dead at a bar in the North.

The shooting happened at Newtownards, Co Down.

Gunmen burst into the bar on North Street, fired a shot towards a group of people sitting at a table and then cornered their victim in the toilets where he was shot dead.

It is understood the dead man was in his forties and from the town.

The RUC say a motive has yet to be established but the force is promising to do all in its power to bring the killers to justice.
