Search continues for missing yachtman
An air-and-sea search was continuing for a yachtsman today after an accident which claimed the lives of three of his crewmates.
Glen Styles was still missing this morning after his yacht sank following a collision in Dublin Bay early yesterday.
The body of his brother Mark Styles, 39, from Knocklon Close, Dublin, was found earlier in the day.
Gardai also recovered the bodies of Rowan Smith, 47, from Terenure, and Eleanor Cullen, from Foxrock, both in Dublin.
The sole survivor, 43-year-old Philip Daly, was rescued shortly after the accident near the entrance to Dublin port and was taken to hospital suffering from shock.
Their 30ft yacht, The Debonair, based in Howth, north Co Dublin, collided with a British commercial vessel, The Bluebird, shortly before 3am yesterday.
The cause of the accident is not known.
It is reported that some of the crew members, who had been watching the St Patrick’s Festival firework display in the city centre earlier in the evening, were asleep below deck at the time.
The four each had two children, a Gardai spokesman said.
