£1.1m paid for Jack B. Yeats painting
A painting by Jack Butler Yeats fetched more than stg£1.1m at an auction in London today.
The Whistle of a Jacket, showing a horse being urged past the post, raised the highest price at Christie's sixth annual Irish sale.
The work, which was painted in 1946, was bought by a trade buyer.
Yeats died in 1957.
