Body recovered off Co Clare

The body of a man, believed to be in his thirties, was recovered off the coast off Co Clare just after 4.30am today.

The Doolin Coast Guard Unit and the Shannon-based rescue helicopter were called to the Doonagore Bay area when the alarm was raised by surfers.

The man was believed to have been attending a beach party when he fell about 80 metres from a cliff top.
